The Vernon’s Christmas Toy Appeal!
Written by Imagine Radio on November 13, 2019
The Vernon Building Society have partnered with Imagine Radio to deliver its first ever Christmas Toy Appeal. This year the Vernon won ‘Most Responsible Business Award’ at the Stockport Business Awards, and this appeal is another step towards their mutual vision to support our local community!
Help Vernon Building Society and Imagine Radio make this Christmas Day special for children and families across Stockport!
It’s a heart-breaking thought, but there are thousands of children who are in danger of waking up to no presents on Christmas Day. For many families Christmas is a luxury they just can’t afford.
With your help we can make a difference. Throughout November and December we’ll be taking donations – via Vernon Building Society’s 6 local branches – of new and unwrapped gifts.
The toys are then distributed to disadvantaged children through the Together Trust in our local Stockport area.
So what do the Together Trust do?
Since 1870 the Together Trust has been providing life-changing care, support and education services in the North West of England based in Cheadle. The charity campaigns to challenge the negative perceptions and missed opportunities that people with disabilities, autism or complex needs and looked-after children face in society. With a team of over 900 dedicated people, they work flat out to create a society where people are valued within their communities.
This list details the specifications for the Christmas Toy and Gift appeal to provide guidance for anyone looking to drop off gifts in support of Together Trust this Christmas. All toys/gifts must be unwrapped, unopened and new.
